Pine Tar & Cedarwood Body Soap

SGD 17.00

A calming bar to soothe and protect irritated skin.

Pine tar soap is a traditional medicinal soap known to relieve skin and scalp irritations like psoriasis, eczema and dandruff. It has roots in Europe, and we put our own spin on it by adding neem oil, a versatile oil that's great for the skin, and a staple in Ayurvedic medicine. This bar smells warm and woody, and may feel a little different from other soaps you’re used to. Thanks to the pine tar resin, it leaves a moisturising layer on the body, which feels like a soothing and protective barrier for our skin.

Ingredients | Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Distilled Water, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Virgin Avocado Oil, Lye, Castor Oil, Shea Butter, Neem Oil, Pine Tar Resin, Virginian Cedarwood Essential Oil.

Average weight | 90g

Soothing and relieving

Pine Tar Resin | Pine resin, or pine tar, is the sap of the pine tree and is naturally antiseptic. It's used in traditional soapmaking for treating or soothing skin and scalp conditions like psoriasis, eczema and dandruff.

Organic Virginian Cedarwood Essential Oil | Cedarwood essential oil is full of anti-inflammatory agents, which soothe conditions like eczema, rashes and redness, while easing dry, cracking or peeling skin. As a gentle astringent, it also cleans the skin without being too drying.

Safe for sensitive skin

While all our products are designed with sensitive skin in mind, our skin is unique and what works for us and those who test our products may not work for you. If you have an existing allergy to pine oil, you may experience a similar reaction to pine tar and pine tar products, and we advise avoiding the use of this soap. Otherwise, adverse skin reactions to pine tar and cedarwood essential oil are uncommon, but we recommend testing this bar on a small patch of skin before applying it to a larger area.

If you are pregnant, please speak to your medical provider for guidance on using essential oils and essential oil products before using this product.
