Skin & Soap Care
1. Keep soap dry in between use.
Ideally on a soap dish with lots of drainage. Try our bio-degradable loofah for a soap dish.
The glycerin in natural bar soaps attract water droplets, making them prone to melting. When an area of the soap bar comes into prolonged contact with water, a translucent layer of soap gel forms. If this happens, leave your soap bar out to dry out for a few days before using again. Otherwise, using your bar of soap at this stage will make your bar of soap will disappear fast!
2. Use bar soap within 2 months of purchase.
We keep our soaps in a dehumidified environment to make longer and better lasting soap. Due to the humidity in Singapore and depending on where you live, natural soaps may not keep as well. Do use them soon as it reaches you!
3. Store unused soaps in cool, dry place away from sunlight.
Natural bars are prone to glycerin sweating due to the humidity. Storing products in a cool, dry place away from sunlight before use will ensure longevity.
4. Try new soaps with caution, especially scrubs.
We do advise caution for individuals with skin sensitivities when trying out new skin products. Perhaps start with the moisturising bars, facial bars or unscented bars. Some essential oils have more volatile compounds that may cause negative reactions on some skin types.
If you have sensitive skin, try a more moisturising bar or a facial bar, which will be more gentle on your skin. Avoid using coffee and other rougher scrubs at this point!
