We’re committed to being mica-free, oxide-free, paraben-free, SLS-free, SLES-free, sulphate-free, and fragrance-free.

We use only certified organic essential oils and absolute oils, almost all of which are certified organic by the USDA or EU. Unlike synthetic fragrances, these organically derived oils can be broken down when they return to the ground.

Our approach to sourcing

As much as possible, we source organic ingredients directly from producers and co-operatives. We look for growers that go above and beyond in their care for the soil and the earth. In addition to their hard work, our growers follow stringent agricultural standards in order to attain certification from trusted organisations.

Although we took a step back from direct sourcing since travel restrictions were imposed at the start of the pandemic, we’re hoping to bring back some ingredients from producers we know and trust! At the start of our journey, we got to know the owners and makers of an essential oil producer in Taiwan, where we source some of our oils, and we source black castor oil from a women’s cooperative in Haiti.

Some of our ingredients come from local growers in Singapore too — we’ve rescued aloe vera from a shuttered farm, and most of our aloe vera today grows in the backyards of people we know. We also use fresh goat’s milk from a farm in Lim Chu Kang, Singapore.
